Mother-of-pearl is always an elegant choice, regardless of the application. Here, it has been used as a veneer on ceramic earrings. Then, it was expertly hand-painted with gilded palm leaves. Subtle enough for casual daily wear or for cocktail attire.
The piece has been reinforced with a resin coating to ensure against further aging. Earrings measure 2 x 1 inch and are mounted on nickel-free surgical stainless steel studs.
